Veterans Center Coordinator
University of Missouri – St. Louis
Leigh Ann Kervin serves as the Veterans Center Coordinator at the University of Missouri–St. Louis, where she leads efforts to connect military-connected students with campus and community resources that support their academic, personal, and career success. Her connection to military life spans both personal and professional experiences.
As the child of a U.S. Navy service member, Leigh Ann experienced firsthand the challenges of frequent moves and school transitions. She later served in the U.S. Air Force, where she met her spouse, who remains on active duty. Additionally, she worked as an Air Force Child and Youth Program Assistant both overseas and in the U.S., supporting children of service members and their educational and social-emotional development.
Drawing on these experiences, Leigh Ann brings a practical and experience–driven understanding of how military life impacts students from K–12 through higher education. In her current role, she focuses on strengthening student engagement, reducing barriers, and fostering a sense of belonging for military-connected students as they move through their educational journeys.
