Dr. Amy Blansit is the founder of the Drew Lewis Foundation, a nonprofit focused on empowerment and community initiatives located in Springfield, MO. She developed RISE, a poverty alleviation initiative, and leads operations at The Fairbanks, a former school transformed into a community hub in the Grant Beach neighborhood. Through asset-based development and community partnerships, RISE empowers underserved families through personalized support and community development. She also leads the Blue House Project—a unique homeownership program that addresses the housing crisis.
A former faculty member in Missouri State University’s Kinesiology Department, she holds a doctorate in Health Science from A.T. Still University, a master’s from Adelphi University, and a bachelor’s from Drury University. She has been honored as a Springfield Daily Citizen Catalyst for Good, Biz 417 Person of the Year, and recognized by Urban Land Institute, Springfield Business Journal, and Missouri State University for her leadership and service.
