In most everyday conversations, the idea of culture is often reduced to only nationality or ethnicity. Scholars in the field, however, all have varying definitions that reflect deeper aspects of humanity that define culture and its expression in groups. What are the factors that would make one feel that they do not have a culture? What impact can our understanding of culture have on our communities when explored beyond the surface of what is visible and easily identifiable? To what extent does one's understanding of culture impact the development and perception of self and community? How can exploring our understanding of culture pave the way to meaningful connections?
