Jeannie Haubert is an associate professor of sociology at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina. She studies racial and ethnic relations, social stratification, and immigration. She is the sole editor of "Rethinking Disaster Recovery: A Hurricane Katrina Retrospective" (2015), a volume written by hurricane victims that is accessible both to scholars and general audiences. Additionally, she has also published in "Organization and Environment" and "International Migration Review," as well as in several other edited volumes.
