Road to Mafraq
Ellen Billard is a social worker, humanitarian and advocate who is passionate about global justice and community engagement. Her work has taken her across the United States and the globe, where she helped shape public benefits policy reform in Connecticut and conducted program evaluations for NGOs throughout Southeast Asia. In spring 2013, she co-founded Road to Mafraq, a fundraising initiative to support those impacted by violent conflict in the Middle East. Since then, the organization has raised over $20,000 to support Syrian and Iraqi refugees living in Jordan.
