Arwen Kimmell leads Consumer Insights for the Kashi Company where she represents the consumer voice for the Kashi, Bear Naked and Stretch Island brands. She supports the creation of brand strategy, communication and new product innovation through strategic consulting, consumer research and trend tracking.
Kimmell has a long history in the health and wellness industry with experience beginning in retail at a natural foods co-op, continuing as an ethnographic researcher for a leading health and wellness consultancy, The Hartman Group and, most recently, in consumer packaged goods with brands including Yoplait and Kellogg’s Raisin Bran. Kimmell completed a master’s degree in linguistics and a PhD in anthropology from Indiana University where her research focused on consumers of sustainable coffee and chocolate in the Pacific Northwest.
