As president and founder of The McCaughan Group, his clients include: Kogod Cybersecurity Governance Center at American University; Fortune 500 powerhouse PwC (PricewaterhouseCoopers); kglobal Communications; and "Roll Call" newspaper
Previously, McCaughan directed CNN’s White House unit, managing all aspects of the editorial and logistical coverage of the president. He covered presidents Obama, Bush and Clinton in 40-plus countries and all 50 states over more than a decade.
He then ran CNN’s most-visited web vertical, The Political Ticker, setting online traffic and social media records. McCaughan’s recognitions include: Emmy Award; Eppy Award; Webby Award; George Foster Peabody Award; and Alfred I. duPont-Columbia University Award
