Brittney Hernandez-Stevenson

Dr. Brittney Hernandez-Stevenson is a native of Muhlenberg County and resident of Greenville, Kentucky. She has worked at Madisonville Community College (MCC) since 2011, and currently serves as the campus manager of MCC’s Muhlenberg Campus. She serves as an adviser for the Multicultural Student Association, RENEW and Phi Theta Kappa.

In 2007, she earned a bachelor's degree in HR management from Western Kentucky University, a master's degree in organizational communication from Murray State University in 2013, and a doctorate in educational leadership from Western Kentucky University in 2021. Her dissertation was titled “Building Bridges Not Walls: An Exploratory Study of Student Involvement and African American Student Retention at Community Colleges.”

Dr. Hernandez-Stevenson serves on the Board of Directors for the Muhlenberg Chamber of Commerce and the United Way of the Coalfield. She also serves on the Felix E. Martin Jr. Advisory Council and is president of the Muhlenberg NAACP chapter, member of Muhlenberg County Rotary Club, Hopkins County KFBPW and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated. She’s also a 2022 candidate for State Representative for Kentucky’s House District 15.
