True You TN
Stephanie Lowe is the founder and creator of True You TN, the first group home for LGBTQIA+ youth in the foster system in the state of Tennessee. Lowe received her bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Government from Austin Peay State University and gained experience with local and political activism through her work as a Membership Team Lead for Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America. In addition, she served as the Volunteer Engagement Coordinator with Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee and actively seeks ways to incorporate activism into her everyday life.
“I want to save the world. That’s a lofty goal, but one I am currently working towards. Saving the world can be done in the form of huge actions, à la Wonder Woman but I also believe that using my passion to make change can be incorporated in my every day actions, like standing up for the underserved in the community or fighting environmental injustices. I am exceptionally passionate about giving back to my community and committed to fighting for social, economic, and environmental justice.
