Dr. McKevitt is the John D. Winters Endowed Professor of History at Louisiana Tech University, where he has taught since 2012. He is the author of Gun Country: Gun Capitalism, Culture, and Control in Cold War America (2023) and Consuming Japan: Popular Culture and the Globalizing of 1980s America (2017), both published by the University of North Carolina Press.
In addition, he teaches undergraduate and graduate classes at Louisiana Tech on many subjects while working with graduate students on their theses and comprehensive exams in the field of U.S. foreign relations history.
