Dr. Huffman is an Associate Professor of English and Coordinator of First Year Composition at Angelo State University. In addition to her administrative work, she teaches first year composition, advanced composition, and graduate-level composition and rhetorical theory courses. Her current research interests include creating methods for discussing political issues with students in an age wherein dis- and misinformation flourishes and we have become isolated in our respective social and algorithmic bubbles. She has also co-created and delivered with her colleague John Wegner a series of faculty workshops at ASU on teaching writing in an era of open generative AI.
