Julian Jackson

Ninjackson

At Ninjackson, Julian provides stealthy observations and sharp insights for great experiences and innovative museum leadership.

Prior to beginning Ninjackson, he was Executive Director of the Historic Pullman Foundation (HPF). The HPF is the official Friends Organization of Pullman National Historical Park, Chicago's first National Park, and a historical preservation and interpretive institution in its own right. This living history site is critical to understanding the history of American Industry, Urban planning, the Labor Movement, and the empowerment of African-Americans.  HPF oversew the Pullman Exhibit Hall, fundraising, tours, several of the historic properties that are part of the larger Pullman site and an extensive collection of Pullman related artifacts.

As the Executive Director, Julian managed the Grand Opening Celebrations of Pullman National Monument on labor day weekend, 2021 on behalf of the National Park Service, launched the first annual Pullman Railroad days (together bringing thousands of new visitors to the far south side), assisted in bringing Chicago's Labor Day weekend parade to Pullman, overseen a ~1000% growth in the organization's fundraising, grown staff, professionalized the tour and exhibition capabilities and started our collections and archives on the road to accreditation.
