Katherine Smith is the executive director of the Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship in the Carroll School of Management. Founded in 1985, BCCCC is the oldest, largest, corporate-only community of practice focused on helping companies create more business value AND more social value through their operations and CSR programs. The Center derives capacity, insight, and knowledge from its more than 500 member companies and thousands of individuals who participate in its programs and networks each year. Our global network allows us to bring together some of the best thinkers and most experienced practitioners in management to address important challenges confronted by business and our society today. UL has been a member since 2004.
Katherine has more than 25 years of experience with program management, research, advisory service, product and content development, and resource development. She has been executive director of the Center since 2010. She is the author of two books (with coauthor Dave Stangis, CSO of Apollo Asset Management) on corporate citizenship. Katherine is also a faculty member of the Carroll School of Management MBA program where she teaches Business in Society.
