Roddy Rogers

Roddy earned a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering, a Masters Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, and a second Masters Degree in Engineering Management from the University of Missouri – Rolla.  He is a registered professional engineer, with over 35 years of engineering and management experience. For over 20 years, Roddy served as Manager of the Springfield City Utilities Water Department where he managed parts or all of Springfield’s drinking water system with a peak capacity of over 70 million gallons per day for a population of 160,000. He also served in several other leadership, system planning, engineering, and environmental roles with the utility.

Roddy has participated in volunteer engineering/water projects in several third world countries and has published and/or presented over 30 technical papers. He is past president of both the Tri State Water Resource Coalition and of the SWMO Joint Municipal Water Utility Commission seeking to establish the next water source for the SW Missouri region serving up to a million people and now serves as their Executive Director. He was named as a Diplomate in the American Academy of Water Resource Engineers; served a three-year term on the American Water Works Association national board of directors; as gubernatorial appointee served as chair of the State Dam and Reservoir Safety Council; and served on the National Society of Engineers Board of Ethical Review.
