Business development manager

Sara Brown is the business development manager for Heifer International where she is responsible for securing funding from local, state and federal resources for Heifer U.S.A. programs.
In this position, she builds strategic business partnerships and initiatives to secure support and produce marketing materials to keep donors, funding partners and the media informed about the work of Heifer U.S.A. programs.
She previously served as an entrepreneurship support specialist at Heifer International. Brown also co-founded Ascent Business Network, a entrepreneurship support network, and served as an engagement coordinator at the University of North Carolina Americore VISTA program.
She earned a bachelor's degree in sustainable development from Appalachian State University.
