2018 Awardee Tara Benson Associate Director PSU – Director Student Engagement

When Tara Benson became a resident of Springfield, she knew she wanted to connect with others in a way that could make a big impact in her new community, and she has accomplished just that. Her volunteerism encompasses a diverse set of organizations and activities. To name a few, she serves through the Junior League of Springfield, the Discovery Center, Springfield Little Theater and Ozarks Public Television. She also provides church leadership and works to instill the values of our public affairs mission to the middle and high school youth.

For these reasons we recognize Tara as a recipient of the 2018 Staff Excellence in Community Service Award.
