The mission’s pillars are guideposts for  Dr. Janice Greene's teaching, research, collaborative educational programs and community service.  She trains students at all levels to be engaged and principled leaders, recognizing that environmental solutions will not lie in one individual perspective, but will be found collectively.  She dedicates herself to advocating the importance that nature plays in improving quality of life for all and to the betterment of society.  And as quote by one of her student’s, “Dr. Greene lives the public affairs mission, even when no one is looking.”
