2017-18 Honoree - Alex Johnson

As Director of community-engaged learning, Alex Johnson creates diverse learning experiences for students, faculty and staff that foster opportunities for active citizenship, leadership and community-building.  He challenges our students to understand the complexities of social issues, and how through meaningful engagement, they can begin to affect change on a local, national and global scale.  As mentor, advisor and advocate, Alex is committed to the creation of Citizen Bears.
