United States Naturalization Ceremony

Witness as those in the Western District of Missouri take their Oath of Allegiance and thereby complete the process of becoming a U.S. citizen. There will be a variety of speakers along with MSU's vocal talent performing the National Anthem and America the Beautiful.  The formal ceremony will be held in the Robert W. Plaster Student Union Theater.  

Parking & Location Information

Applicant Report Room:   Plaster Student Union, room 313.  
Applicant's must report to room 313 on the 3rd floor at the time indicated on their letter from the USCIS. 
Formal Swearing-in Ceremony Time:  begins at 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM
Ceremony Location:  Plaster Student Union (PSU) on the campus of Missouri State University (MSU).  Actual ceremony will be held in the PSU Theater located on the 2nd floor.  
Ceremony Parking:  Attendees of the MSU ceremony should park in Lot #28 located at the corner of John Q. Hammons Parkway and Harrison St.   Lot is accessible off Harrison St. or Cherry St. This parking lot is located across the street from the First & Calvary Church on the MSU campus.  A google map address for the parking area is 820 East Cherry.  
Ceremony Free Shuttle Service:  8:00 AM - 2:00 PM  
A free designated shuttle will run continuously between the parking lot #28 to the ceremony location at the Robert W. Plaster Student Union.  Volunteers will be stationed at the parking lot to assist.  Shuttles are fully accessible for those with impaired mobility. 
Family/Guest Hospitality & Waiting Room:   PSU Ballroom West located on the 3rd floor.  
Family and friends of the citizen applicants are welcome to gather and enjoy coffee, tea, juice and danish while waiting awaiting for the ceremony to begin.  
New Citizen Reception:  PSU Ballroom West located on the 3rd floor.  
Immediately following the ceremony, a reception with cake and punch will be provided for new citizens and their guests in PSU Ballroom West.  New citizens will have the opportunity to register to vote, speak with Social Security Administration representatives, register for a Passport plus other information.  These services depend on availability and will be confirmed closer to date.
