U.S. Naturalization Ceremony

This special event is open for attendance by family and friends of the citizen applicants, as well as the general public.

Witness as those applicants in the United States Courts for the Western District of Missouri take their Oath of Allegiance and thereby complete the process of becoming a United States citizen. There will be a variety of speakers along with performances by Missouri State University's vocal talent.  

Ceremony information for October 19, 2023

Naturalization Oath Ceremony Location: 

Juanita K. Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts
525 S. John Q. Hammons Parkway, Springfield, MO 65806. 

Naturalization Oath Ceremony Time:

The October 19th ceremony will begin at 11:30 AM and conclude at approximately 12:30 PM.

Applicant's onsite check-in process with the USCIS:

Please refer to applicant letter from the USCIS for check-in time.  Check-in with USCIS will be located inside Juanita K. Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts.   

After the formal ceremony, new citizens will have the opportunity to register to vote, speak with representatives from the Social Security Administration, register for a Passport plus other information after the ceremony. These services depend on availability and will be confirmed closer to date.

Parking for the Naturalization Ceremony

There is no charge to park at the designated locations for applicants, their family, friends and the general public attending the ceremony.  Watch for parking signage.  No fee or vehicle permit is required if parked in the locations noted below.  

1)  The Bear Park North Parking Garage.  This garage is located on the west side of the Juanita K. Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts. 

2)  Lot #28 located at the corner of John Q. Hammons Parkway, between Harrison Street and Cherry Street.  The lot is located across the street from the First & Calvary Church and adjacent of Juanita K. Hammons Hall. A good google map address for the parking area is 525 S. John Q. Hammons Parkway.
